i think what david meant was factory dash and door panels and such.no aluminum dashes and doors and what not like an all out race car.a couple years ago a fellow by the name of lee howie ran a car in true street .it looked scary stock except for the chute.ran 3 back to back to back passes with an 8.20 average ! this was after a 30 mile cruise ! even had a radio.this was on stock style suspension.you can easily have a car mini tubbed with a ladder bar coil over and retain the rear frame rails. -- Prescott Outlaws

Yes Ive seen lee howies car that car also sold for around 75,000 just because it ran so good and looked so stock.... there are VERY few of those cars out there. But yes i agree on the dash and door panels I'll work something out on that I do not think any of our racers would be affected by it. And yes you may be able to easily have a car mini tubbed and ladder bar coil over and retain the rear frame rail but like I said you can only do so much with ladder bars and true 10.5's. jeff cooner and the grey mustang from mississippi did alot with ladder bars and stock rear frame rails... both went 5.teens . also both cars race limited street in orsca and have to have stock appearing cars with factory rear frame rails and no wheelie bars... jeff cooner has been 4.87 with this set-up so why let an O/L 10.5 backhalf car run in a class called super "street" just because it has 10.5's on it? But right now as the rule stand there is no rule against the rear suspension frame rails as long as your limited to ladder bars and a true 10.5 tire. -- Cole, 09:34:17 01/18/05 Tue By allowing a true backhalf car to run you take the advantage away from the Mustangs and make things equal!! Most other cars and trucks can not fit a 29.5 on a 12in wheel and fit it under there cars like the Mustangs guy's can. So why penalize someone for having a different type of car. So what advantage does aftermarket frame rail give? NONE. But if I ran a Mustang I might protest too.
