in superstreet 10.5 why dont the rules at least state that u must have rear frame rails, by not havin this rule you will have back half cars getin into this class. so i think that the rules should say must have rear frame rails, no lexan and must retain stock appearin interior. jus my 2 sense into the class rules

thanks

David, the rule that i would say counter-acts the rear frame rail rule would be the ladder bar rule. You can only do so much with ladder bars and a true 10.5 tire. Far as the lexan and stock appearing interior... the record in that class is a 5.17 if im correct. Its hard to build a car that looks even similiar to stock with the equipment you would need for that type of pass and the lexan is more of a safety rule for wrecks. ThanksCole16:25:35 01/17/05 Mon
i think what david meant was factory dash and door panels and such.no aluminum dashes and doors and what not like an all out race car.a couple years ago a fellow by the name of lee howie ran a car in true street .it looked scary stock except for the chute.ran 3 back to back to back passes with an 8.20 average ! this was after a 30 mile cruise ! even had a radio.this was on stock style suspension.you can easily have a car mini tubbed with a ladder bar coil over and retain the rear frame rails. if i wanted to have to run a back half i woulda built a back half car, there needs to be something that seperates outlaw 10.5 cars other than tire size and that we cant run a 4 link. as far as other cars not bein able to get a 29.5x10.5 under their car there why cant they notch the frame rails if needed, my argument is that if you allow back half cars youll end up gettin tube chassis cars from the firewall back gettin into this class (NT)d ball10:44:04 01/19/05 Wed

i think the rules will work, maybe work on the lexan rule cause remember this is a "street" car class. lets at least keep them lookin that way, we'll be there on the 26th to do battle in what i think is goin to be as competative as outlaw 10.5 (NT)d ball19:37:50 01/23/05 Sun
