Subject: The T/M monarchy came crashing down with their breakup. Their political influence is gone. A zillion new systems - most nice enough weekends but each one has it's own small time agenda. Winning is hit or miss because there is no consistency in judging anymore. The standard for clothes has come way down so you see some pretty ratty things on stage yet no-one seems to care. The Butts camp became so impersonal that they lost their influence and kids from other coaches are actually surpassing the Butts students. Photos are so over the top that they look nothing like the kid and photogenic has become a side event . Casual Wear modeling is now like pro-am and pro-am is a talent competition. NOTHING is included in the supreme package anymore so expect to pay extra for almost every event. - Old Timer-

In reply to: 's message, "Two years, out of pageants: Two years have passed since my daughter quit pageants. This is the only board I come to anymore, so I am so out of the pageant loop. Is the same stuff still going on? I do miss them in a way, but in another way I don't miss the stress and spending the $$. Has anyone else left pageants? Doggy momma" on 08:13:13 04/29/07 Sun

OMG, that was a great synopsis of the happenings in the wonderful world of pageants! We pretty much switched to full time cheer and part time natural pageants...lol.~Crazy Lady (NT)Anonymous11:23:39 04/29/07 Sun

I thought it was just me who thought the clothes had become ratty looking. I once worked for a leading dress designer, and the clothes now are so crappy. We would have never turned out stuff that was so sloppy looking. And the thing of gymnastics for pro-am moves in beyond comprehension. I am waiting for a parent to sue a director after a kid flips off stage and breaks their neck. (NT)Anonymous21:55:54 04/29/07 Sun

Please understand, I am doing this only because this was pageant related and such I know it is required by law (pageant law) that someone do this. You are wrong, you only say that cause you have favorites!! Your post is full of COI! Bash, Bash, Bash Bash. You are just jealous! Now that the required bickering post has been made, we can get back to our regularly scheduled informative discussion. petpet (NT)Anonymous18:44:12 05/11/07 Fri
