Subject: She smiled a little at that, breathing out a soft thanks before she focused on getting out the plates as everyone came down and into the kitchen. It turned to chaos with the thirteen or so people who lived here all filing down. She smiled at the different people, a lot of them stopping to chat with Travis before they all settled down to eat in a mass chaos but still with some order somehow surrounding it all. A soft breath slipped through her lips - it was nice to be around so many people who loved each other.

  • He had had a late lunch so wasn't too hungry and just had a small ration himself, but he chit-chatted with the kids as they came and went and did mostly what she did - sat back and soaked up the atmosphere. Even with all the pain that these kids had experienced, there was an underlying devotion to each other and a caring that spoke of a common bond that no one else could understand.
