Dianthe,

There are a couple of things I dont understand about your traffic stop.

#1. If you did indeed change your name with your insurance company...why didnt you at least have the old insurance card with your maiden name on it. I mean, isn't the ultimate point to prove that the car is insured--and would not even the old insurance card have done that? I mean, I really dont see why any vehicle in the world would ever not have proof of insurance at any given time.

#2. Why did you even have your old license with you? If you had it with you for the use of it, then why did you cut it up? If you cut it up, then why would you present it as your license? It seems like they are mutually exclusive situations, yet you felt the need to "present" the old cut-up one, and the new paper one--both of which do the same thing----prove you have a driver's license. I dont get this one either.

I love your blogs--I appreciate your mind--I admire your candor. However, I don't think the stars were quite aligned in your favor on this one. Maybe there were details you left out or something???
