Takes an opportunity away from someone else and shows how self absorbed that person is. I would NEVER let my daughter compete after she won ONE title for anything else. She told the judges this is what she wanted, she wanted to represent ABC and by God she was going to fulfill her obligation to that ONE organization. We as parents and pageant elders need to set better examples of integrity. If we are going to tell the judges WE WANT THIS and then they give it to us, we sure shouldn't be saying the same thing to someone else in 3 months. It sure gives the look of crown collecting instead of crown respecting. How you should handle this is to make sure YOU don't do the same thing!

how is it STEALING a crown if the other contestants didn't WIN? remember some pageants/directors dont require ANY appearances or even post ones you send! It really depends on the level of the title and contract. If glitz & smaller pageants had a one crown per girl per year rule, nearly half the ones in the mid atlantic & south would GO OUT OF BUSINESS! keep in mind not every title is Miss America here... nothing done wrong by anyone involved! 05/01/14 Thu

In our state it is gross! People are having pageants to pay their entry fees to other pageants, people are having pageants to pay off bills that they stole from other pageants and the same girls run from pageants to pageants and collect crowns! Can't stop laughing.. you crazy people need to seriously... get a grip... we're talking PAGEANTS.... not world leaders... lol I could hold 7 titles if I wanted. Some people are so DELUSIONAL about the acutal importance or releavance of pageants. It's a "MADE UP TITLE FOR A FEE"... haha if you win a bunch great... you're not a senator or an actual ambassador.... again...MADE UP TITLE FOR A FEE..... so silly. Any sort of multi-title holder's obligations are between her and the director(s).....no one else's business... move on.. No, in the grand scheme of things, pageantry is not life or death, and certainly not the end all be all. However, to those select few that respect honoring commitments, the beauty of pageantry, what it should and used to stand for, it is bothersome to see people abuse it. There seems to be a rampant mentality of entitlement in the negative as of late. It's very sad for those of us who respect and appreciate the benefits and possibilities of gaining and holding a title. Please don't belittle those that care. How is representing 2 titles abusing anything?!?! If both systems have appearance requirements and neither has a non-compete, she's fulfilling her obligations to both.
