I don't know about Donna, but the day our whole neighborhood called, there were 137 complaints..that ONE DAY! People had no idea where their children were, and parents were waiting at bus stops for hours! We not only all called, we wrote and talked in person with the Principle. To no avail.

My answer, if you read below was, "Next year, when their contract is up it will be addressed!"

My question? So, what do we do this year, UNTIL that contract is up?

The fact that they left school children, ages 9 and under at school because two bus drivers wanted either ice cream or chinese food is unforgiveable. This is a different world now, and they can't just be dropped off anywhere! Walking is not the issue. We are talking 5 and 6 year olds being left alone on a street that is not their own and not knowing how to get home! That is unforgiveable!

After the "forgotten kid issue" at the Brookside, the next week a Mother went out to get her son at the bus stop, who is in Kindergarden and he was already at the door. The bus driver, heavy on her foot because of an important date at home had left all the kids off at the bus stop 20 minutes earlier than usual. The rule use to be that, if the child was in Kindergarten, no child was to be left to walk alone if no parent was present, but brought back to the school! He was not only left alone, she didn't even wait to make sure he got into his house, which would have only taken a couple of minutes.
