I'm watching a Passport to Europe marathon on the Travel Channel. They just finished Dublin where the host on the show went to Temple Bar district! I watched all the pubs she went past and listened to her and the others talk about Ireland. They will be doing Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Highlands sometime today. I wish the programs were more than 30 min long. I've watched the ones on Ediburgh and Glasgow enough that I feel like I know the places well.

[> I love Passport to Europe, Debbie! I'm Tivo-ing a show right now on the History channel about two Scottish castles in America, and I'll have to let you know how that show is. Have you seen Rick Steve's Europe on PBS? That's another good one. One of them has a 5 minute scene at the very end with lots of brawny laddies in kilts tossing the cabre. OMG, the testosterone is enough to wipe out the power in a small city! -- Libby, 18:34:49 12/28/06 Thu [1]

[> Oh, Libby, haven't seen that one!! I did see the Passport on Highlands about an hour ago, now waiting on Edinburgh. The first glimpse of kilted laddies for me will be the first weekend of April at the Medieval faire! I feel like a Mrs. Robinson when I see all of those college guys running around without shirts, kilts, swords and long hair. Plus the Rogues will be on stage. More men in kilts playing bagpipes and drums!! Next will be late April, then some in May and then the big one in Arlington, TX for three days of kilts, Scottish accents and heat! And always the hope for a breeze at each*BWEG* -- DebbieH, 19:24:02 12/28/06 Thu [1]

[> Mrs. Robinson? LOL. I want to be you when I grow up! I love the ones in Colorado because we have all sorts of yummy, rugged mountain men here. So when their muscly, bronzed goodness steps into the sun half naked...hang on. I have to go take a cold shower. -- Libby, 11:29:35 12/29/06 Fri [1]

I also was taping Passport to Europe but my tape ran out in the middle of the episode just prior to the Highlands. If some one saw it please let me know how it was. I hope every one had a great Christmas and a Happy and SAFE new year.

[> Tessa, it was great! I had seen it 4 or 5 times. She stays in Dingwall and visits Inverness. Then she went to a farm to see the Highland Cows. She also visited Loch Ness. The scenery was magnificent. I just wish she had touched upon Culloden and some other castles. -- DebbieH, 10:09:10 12/30/06 Sat [1]
