Just when did JB become smitten with Mac?
Some of you may not agree that Jericho is smitten with Mac at all! However it is my theory that Jericho became smitten the moment Mac walked in his door the first time and told him to call her 'just Mac.' What do you think?
I think he was definitely smitten by the time he woke her up at 2 am and got a look at her through the doorframe.
But he was for sure smitten by the time he was helping her paint her fingernails after her broken arm. ;-) There is no way a man who is not smitten can be roped into doing that.
ps - this is my first posting. I am a virgin!!! ;-)

Welcome Claudia, Glad you jumped in make sure you come by the main board for some fun as well. I definately agree JB is smitten with Mac, I hope he ends up being her hero not that she needs a hero but you know what I mean! --

Hi! I have to ask again - just when do you think that it happened? I think when he first met her, he thought she was pretty and cute, but even then he didn't realize how much he was falling for her. Even though he tried to frighten her. But it might have happened when he visited the that day at 2 am. Or it might have happened when she filched the box from Marruce. I wonder if later in the book that he regrets how he first treated her? ;-)
ps this is a great place to be. I've been reading all the comments about theories about who's who. Darroc is definetly the Lord Master, but Ive been contemplating whether the little old lade is really Aboiheal.

Well, it might have been later, when he let his emotional sheild down as they were driving in the 1975 Lamborghini Countach. Might have also been later when he watched her kill all those monsters! All the other times he looked at her was of a more lustful nature. At that moment it was way more sincere.

Don't forget that playful moment when they get ready to go out to Malluce's place, and Mac tells JB he better not make any more allusions to her and oral sex! All three moments:
1) when she opens the hotel door at 2 am
2) taunting Ms. Rainbow about oral sex
3) driving the 1975 Countach
were fine moments in a building romance! But I still have the sneaking suspicion that he was smitten with her the moment she walked in the door and refused to divulge to him right away why she wanted the shi sadu. ;-)
ps didn't you love it when he volunteers - 'would you like to drive?' And then 'just kidding!'

It seem obvious to me that he is a Druid. I'm still trying to figure out if he is not also part Fae. He can't touch the spear, and I'm not sure he can even see it. He had to wrap in in Mac's purse when he used it to kill the Gray Man.

We know that JB has Mac grab the spear when they are stealing it and later he used the purse to hold the spear while he killed The Gray Man. I think that he can see it just like anyone else, but it takes a Null to know what it really is. Because I believe that the people in the museum could see the spear and the made the comment "what does she have in her hand".
