New Revelation! Is it possible that Barrons is the Unseelie King? Inside
Just like V'lane, Barrons can't detect the hallows. And the book mentions that the Fae from the royal houses (both dark and light) are so strong that even a sidhe-seer can't see through the Glamour? And he does seem to reveal "something" to Fiona when Mac is eavesdropping. I though he might be a vampire, however, there are several occassions in the story where he is up and moving during the daytime. And when Barrons first discovers that Mac is a Null, well he something like he thought that Nulls were only a myth; and then Fiona says something to the extent of well Jericho, you of all people should know about myths.

I too think he may be the unseelie king and have since I first read Darkfever. For me he just seems to know too much about the hallows and she does feel odd around him and when she touches him. I guess we will just see what happens and who knows what Karen has up her sleeve.

I had thought this too. There was mention that when "Mac" killer her first Unseelie, (JB really did) the Unseelie had a look of surprise on it's face. It could be possible the the Unseelie recognized JB as the Unseelie King. JB also knows V'lane - Maybe V'lane is an Unseelie Prince and not a Seelie Prince...... -- Trixie, 07:05:29 02/01/07 Thu [1]

I have absolutely been wondering the same things.. First, I am betting V'lane is an unseelie prince... Also, since JB definitely has powers, he could be the unseelie king or a peon of his. In listening to the book on my iPod, lots of dark stuff is associated with him -- the shades avoiding him, how he won't touch the spear, etc. Whatever he is, I still love him! And I hope that his desire is to come into the light... The only thing that seems weird is that he seemed to have no idea about the legions of unseelie coming through the portal - and the grand master.. The GM and Maluce sure did seem surprised to see him there in the warehouse... *sigh*.. I love JB... -- Kristi, 17:08:53 02/09/07 Fri [1]

Good theory! -- Nikki, 08:54:32 02/01/07 Thu [1]
That's a good theory ... think about this, when Darroc aka Lord Master saw JB the book says they both seemed surprised. (I don't remember the exact wording and don't have it with me at work.) That struck me though that they both clearly knew each other! Hmmmmm ....

I'm glad to see people finding this theory interesting, because I proposed th exact same one a couple of months ago, and a lot of people thought it far-fetched. Good to klnow There are some of you who believe this theory too ;) -- Katarina, 13:34:58 02/01/07 Thu [1]

Origin of JB -- Bellydancer, 14:38:43 02/01/07 Thu [1]
All great ideas grrlz...I'm thinking he might just be like Adam...perhaps a Seelie Prince who has "fallen" or Aoibheal has taken/reduced his powers and his glamour of Vlane is either an uncontrollable or completely controllable function of his abilities!??? What do you think?

JB -- Mary, 01:27:21 02/02/07 Fri [1]
I agree Katarina as I have also believed JB is the Unseelie King and have from the first time I read the book. Yes you are right and a lot of the responses said we were crazy. Like I said we will have to wait and see, but I just hate to have to wait until August as it is so farrrr away.

JB -- Angie, 08:48:39 02/23/07 Fri [1]
Do you think JB could be part Berserker? That would be a myth too. He moves really fast. He picked V'lane up like he was nothing and slung him. He can leap from buildings with out getting hurt. He has no fear of any one hurting him. If he is a Berserker he can't easily be hurt. I just hope he is the good guy. And Mac's mate.

I was thinking that maybe JB is an unseelie prince as well, that had fallen from grace from the Unseelie king. If you think about it, even in the Faery world, people are not always so black and white, good an bad (take Darroc for example). There are some people who are born into horrible situations but don't turn out that way. JB could have been a unseelie prince that decided that the "evil" way or "bad" way wasn't all his bag and that upset the King. So just like Adam was cast out, JB may have been the same. His being "damned" may very well be similiar to the same "damned" that Adam was. Obviously Adam had been left with more abilities, but that just proves that JB is not in high regards with the King. This also could account for the fact that people recognize him and he has all those not very human like qualities, but is still a human (as far as we know).
Does anyone see what I mean?? :)
