I have no doubt that Cian's sister's were able to carry on the line of Druids, and just because Cian said that the knowledge was passed on through the males doesn't mean that he was right. Men back then didn't geive women enough credit. Historically, in the time of the druids in Northern Europe, before the Roman invasion, female druids were the scholars, healers, priestesses, and community leaders. They were revered due to their mysterious power to create life in their own bodies. It wasn't until men started realizing their part in procreation, and then the invasion of Rome and later Christianity, that ideas and roles began to change. It is very possible that Cian merely did not know just how much his sisters knew. So I'm sure that when they thought he was dead, they knew it was their responsibility to carry on in his stead.

But when Cian was placed in the glass his name was stricken from the Keltar books and much of the sacred lore was lost, because the room with all the lore was sealed and was opened again till the 1600s. This is why in "spell..." that they were unsure if Cian was a real person or some myth.

But someone was responsible for contiuning the teaching of the Druid Arts, because the Keltar twins were taught years later.

Also, Aoibeal said in "Spell..." that she had saved the extinction of the MacKeltar a couple of times (dont know the exact number if stated).
