Subject: Another thought on who/what JB is.....

Maybe JB is one of the druids Aoibheal mentioned in SPELL. Not necessarily one of the offspring of someone we already met but someone new.
If I remember correctly, Fae and human can't kill each other because of the Pact, so that would be why the unseelie he killed was shocked. Also because it is almost impossible to kill a seelie or unseelie. Being Druid, and with the secret room opened again (DARK HIGHLANDER), he would at some point have had access to all the seelie and unseelie information so he would know about all the hallows, unseelies, etc. Also Darroc, Lord Master, would have known who he was from time traveling before he turned human (in IMMORTAL). As to him being able to move the way he does, maybe he is half Berserker too.
I still believe he was cursed someway and wants the Sinsar Dubh to find a way to "remake" the curse. I don't remember him ever saying why he, or everyone else, wants the book.
Just some ideas I had to throw out there.

[> I hate to admit it but I have not read Spell. So somehow I might be missing a piece of the puzzle. I live in Sweden, and will inquire about getting an English copy. Maybe Barrons is some sort of super druid. The chanting of old language would make that plausible (sp?). -- Robin, 14:03:44 02/01/07 Thu [1]

[> I'd have to agree with you a bit about the curse, mostly due to the end of the teaser when he tells Mac that somebody has already damned him. That would be great if he was one of the powerful druids that Aoibheal is trying to get together!! -- Annaline, 10:41:40 02/02/07 Fri [1]

[> Oh, Robin, Kelli Jo is right. You have got to get Spell. That is the only one of Karen's book that brought me to tears. It opened up a well of tears that lasted a good week. It also brought up some shoulda's, coulda's and woulda's in me that had been hidden for years. It brought back my love of Scotland I have had since I was 2. I don't know why this book in particular, maybe it was just Cian and Jessi and how they were together. Afterall, when he thumps his chest and says" You fit me here" to Jessi, I just melted! I am a Cian girl all the way! -- DebbieH, 11:13:32 02/02/07 Fri [1]

[> Okay - I am awaiting my copy of Spell. I paid a high premium for it - 25% sales tax. You all are very convincing! -- Robin, 02:58:40 02/06/07 Tue [1]

[> [> Robin, you're gonna love it! Cian is one of my favorites. It is definitely worth the "high premium". Let us know what you think when you're finished reading it. -- DebbieD, 08:20:40 02/06/07 Tue [1]
