Subject: Since we are throwing out some speculations about JB:
Has anyone had the thought that maybe V'lane and JB are one and the same? I mean it would certainly explain a lot of things, Fiono for one, JB not sensing the Hallows, moving so fast...Knowing about Mac's encounter with V'lane. Could the Cuff of Cruce JB was wearing protect him against Null's?
Only one draw back to this theory, when JB was training Mac how to kill the Gray man, he read her the riot for allowing her to be touched. He said he couldn't follow her if the Unseelie sifted, and we all know from Adam, that sifting does leave a followable trail. But then, I don't think this would be the first lie JB has told.
Anyhow, just another thought to ponder and drive us crazy

Hi, Jewelstir, welcome to the board! I don't know exactly who or what JB is. I kind of thought he might be half druid and half fae. I sure can't wait to find out!! I bet Karen loves all the spectulating we are doing!! --

Hi Jewelstir, that is a good idea, like Debbie I am not sure either. There are so many good theories out there I can't wait to see what Karen has cooked up. --

One other comment to dissuade the V'lane=Jericho theory... They don't even LOOK remotely alike... hair, eyes, etc... -- Kristi, 18:56:06 02/03/07 Sat [1]

Farfetched, I know, this is just one of many out of the box type speculations I've had. My response to the Looks would be..Glamour. Can't the Fae have more than one? -- Jewelstir, 00:35:58 02/04/07 Sun [1]

JB and V'Lane -- Jennifer (happy), 14:14:46 02/05/07 Mon [1]
I don't know if the fae can have two forms of glamour but one thing I don't think V'lane would be able to turn off is his effect on Mac and all human women that can see. If JB was V'lane wouldn't Mac be able to sense it? V'lane said it is who he is. I don't think they are one and the same. I will say that something is up with JB though. On an up note. I can't wait to see a new McKeltar.

Another JB twist -- Nancy, 20:03:19 02/04/07 Sun [1]
Hi, new to the board! I had another thought about JB. Since he seems to have such supernatural powers - and he says he's been damned in the teaser - maybe he's an assassin compelled by the Unseelie King to do his dirty work, as in Into the Dreaming. He wants to find the Sinsar Dubh so he can overpower the King and escape.

Just to put it out there for something fun. Maybe JB and V'lane are brothers. --

Jewelstir- I think that your idea would make for some really steamy reading. I like the idea a whole bunch.

More on JB and V'Lane -- Morgan (Thoughtful), 04:19:39 02/12/07 Mon [1]
Hi, I'm new to the board. I thought I'd add my own two cents worth about my little 'conspiracy theory' with the connection between Barrons and V'Lane. I was thinking that maybe Barrons is a Sidhe-Seer? I know that the ones mentioned in earlier books have all been women, but ... there is always an exception to the 'rules' it were. Even if that is not the case, Barrons is 'something' different since he did refer to the state of the world as being Mac's world, and not his as well. I thought it was a bit odd since, most would consider the world to be at least partially theirs since it is where they have to live.
I was also thinking that since Mac had turned down V'Lane's 'gift' of the Cuff of Cruce, that it may be what Barrons was wearing that obviously kept the shades at bay.
On another note ... what are the odds that Barrons might have connections to the Draghar or some other type of Druid sect? Much as I would hate to think it, he still might not be a 'good' character. Plus, even if he does have such connections, it doesn't mean he did not come to his senses and began to walk the right path. ( or, at least a better path than he had been on previously.)And, Mac mentioned something about him muttering what sounded like a dead language after the battle with Malluce. Sounds like a healing spell of some kind to me.
Anyway, that is a bit more than I meant to write, but thats all I got for now. Please let me know what you think.
