Hi just wanted to know what thing you really love about your school, and what things you hate. Please don't name your school or tcs? I love my daughters school because I've made a really good friend and my daughters' confidence has really grown. My mate is mad funny and totally down to earth, and in Irishdancing I've found you seriously need someone like that. We're feis buddies and our girls are like yo-yos one recalling the other no. But we're still the best of mates and so are the girls. -- maj, Wed, May 23 2007, 23:57:17 [4]
I just love the fact that our TCs are such darlings. Despite all the ups & downs, they never lose their warmth and good humour. (NT) -- OSR Mum, Sun, Jun 03 2007, 19:37:05

If I were your daughter I'd want to grow quicker so I could get a new dress. Your designs are beautiful (NT) -- maj, Wed, May 30 2007, 16:40:52

Seeing discussion about fund raising for those going to NAN's, surely going to NAN's is choice, as is All Irelands, European's and every feis other then the World's. The World's is the only one you have to qualify for and therefore, one would maybe feel an obligation to attend, for that I would expect a school to be as supportive as possible as the dance is their representing the school. But to ask others to fanancially support people who choose to do the other feis isn't really fair. -- wishwillow, Mon, May 07 2007, 0:18:07 [6]
If you don't agree then don't buy a raffle ticket - easy. Fair game to them for helping dancers fundraise - how many other teachers would put up a raffle prize of this amount to help their dancers. At the end of the day, for the cost of a local feis entry (fees + door), you could win an individually designed, top of the range dress, without an excessively long waiting list. Sounds like a good deal to me - but if you don't like it, then nobody's personally asking you to buy. OP has just made a post open to all. Good luck to them for their fundraising. Live and let live. It's early days yet. When my dd started she was concertrating so much on the steps her carriage wnet. When she mastered that something else went. Let her just take it one bit at a time and before you know it you'll be asking what feis should she doe next. Good Luck (NT) -- parent, Thu, Mar 22 2007, 22:02:00

Helen, I personally don't like the wigs, but understand the convenience factor. I also have daughters with thick hair. Suggestions inside for an easy, neat look without a ponytail: -- au natural, Tue, Mar 27 2007, 21:44:44
