Yeah, I think Robin wants it to be a for profit. I was impressed at first, I am not anymore. I think she talks out of both sides of her mouth.

Based on what we are seeing I think either it does go for profit to essentially save the organization or it is not going to be here in 5 years. And that is just the beginning. It is going to take YEARS for the organization to be financially solvent. I am just very skeptical we are going to make it there.

Robin is all about the money and she is making that money on the backs of volunteers and contestants. The prices are double what they were in the past. Most of the seats at the Teen prelim were unsold and empty. No one can afford to go to the pageant at these prices. Prelims $100, Finals $150, Talent (dinner tix) $120, Credentials $120 each, Coronation party $60, Red Gala $120, program book $50, live stream $99, downloadable videos $449, Talent rehearsal $40. For 2 people to go to Miss America, it's $1940 just in tickets and passes. Plus travel expenses which are very high right now. The miss hotel rooms are covered but the teens have to pay for their rooms. The host hotel is like $200 a night and it's $50 a day to park. It just isn't feasible for an ordinary person to go. And it is a huge financial burden on the families.
[> [> [> [> Subject: Oh my! There is so much wrong with this. ESPECIALLY teens paying for their own rooms! Remember how this used to be a feeder program for the Miss program? They are plain out of cash. I had said that the Miss program was going downhill and unless it is family nobody outside the family can afford the several thousand dollars just for tickets. That is not travel, hotels, cars/Ubers, etc. Both organizations are in the take what you can get category. Let's face it-what I paid for tonight and tomorrow night was not worth $99. They might get many more viewers if they cut the price in half, or maybe to even $75. I have enjoyed it but it is still not worth the cost, in my opinion.
