[> Subject: Some of the topics were easy (families, education, money) and others got snowballed TX (terrorism) RI (politics) and NY (immigration). These were NOT equally heavy topics. RI slayed-she is an honors thesis student in politics and she was so eloquent. NY shut the crowd up when she said that we need immigration reform and that people should be allowed into the country. FL did very well with her answer as well, she spoke passionately about becoming the possible first Latina Miss America. Would be interesting if she won BC Leanza and Ericka D. never won prelims either. I would still say TX gets in although her talent wasn't as strong. I think CO was strong across the board, think IN might make it on charisma and enthusiasm. NC should on talent. Maybe NY might sneak in. If RI spoke in her interview like she did onstage she might be in the top 5. I think that KS, KY, AR, and MD are out. [> Subject: Wow, this is tough! They ALL did fantastic on their answers. I have no idea how this will go. I don't think KY but the other 4 I could easily see. TX spoke about being a unifier, I agree with her. IN is refreshing, I LOVED her answer about having pageant girls talk about not being okay. CO is strong, motivated, has a great story. RI is quiet and confident and yet elegant. I could see any of those 4 winning. I have a feeling it might be IN. I saw something in her this week, she's very authentic and real. I also LOVE TX and what she said about being a unifier might just win. I LOVE RI and CO too. They are both amazing, looked great onstage, intelligent, accomplished. This is hard to call this year!
