Subject: Smoking For The Sake Of Smoking Author: Will [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 17:48:42 05/22/07 Tue As a new smoker, I wanted to bring up something that I think a lot about, and have briefly discussed with some individuals on the board, for comment or discussion. At this stage, I enjoy the sensation I feel when inhaling, that little buzz that comes after, and the relaxation that then occurs. As time goes on though, I wonder down the road if these enjoyable aspects will still be there and at the same intensity. I guess where I am going is I would not want to be a smoker just for the sake of being a smoker. I would hate the thought of someday being a pack a day smoker (not my plan at this point) who just mindlessly lights away and ends up really not getting much out of 15 of the cigarettes I smoke...what would be the point? If that is the way it usually becomes in the long run, then I do not now about the rest of the board but would turn tail right now and walk away (assuming I could...I have not tried and am not inclined at this point).
