This photo was published on 16th July, three days before the final night. In the photo above, Miss Ecuador, Patricia Benites (centre), and Miss Paraguay, Lucy Montanero (right), are seen looking at an orchid in one of the stores in Long Beach, California. Both are candidates for Miss Universe 1957. In the photo below, from left to right, Miss Sweden, Inger Jonsson, Miss New Jersey, Jeanne Lewis, Miss California, Jean Spotts and Miss Ohio, Katheryn Gabriel.
