Im glad someone is brave enough to expose all the corruption that took place last year. This has been going on for many years but last year was just a slap in the face for laff,. The Louisiana Crawfish Festival Children�s Pageant will be held on March 29, 2008 at the Knights of Columbus Hall � 2107 Paris Rd in Chalmette. The age divisions are: GIRLS 0-11 months, 12-23 months, 2years, 3 years, 4-5 years, 6-7 years, 8-9 years, & 10-13 Years. We have also added BOYS 0-23 months & 2-5 years. The attire is casual wear (custom or off the rack), natural hair & make up, NO GLITZ. The entry fee is $35.00 ($45.00 if entering the day of the pageant). Registration begins at 9:00am, and the pageant begins at 10:00am. CASH ONLY AT THE DOOR. All Queens and Kings will receive a monogrammed banner, banner pin, crown, nice gift, trophy, & are presented at the festival that afternoon.

The Teen, Miss, & Ms. Louisiana Crawfish Festival Pageant will be held on April 12, 2008 at the Knights of Columbus Hall � 2107 Paris Rd. in Chalmette. ENTRY FORMS MUST BE RECEIVED BY APRIL 1, 2008.The requirements to compete are:

I want to personally thank each and every visiting Queen that came to the Fur pageant last night to support me and the people of Cameron. Your kind words and supporting hugs were a huge part of what helped me get through this night. It was hard to step away from such beautiful and inspiring women. These last few years as a Festival have been a wonderful adventure. I wish the best of luck to all of you in the future. Thank you for a un FUR gettable year.

I travel almost everyweekend and some of the invites are very hard to find when there is not specific address on the invite or directions to the places. I am not trying to sound harsh, but I would like to ask everyone to please put a specific address on the invites so people who may not be from your area can find it easier on Mapquest and save time from getting lost.

Rules and General Information
Score sheets will not be posted. Include a self addressed stamped envelope with your entry for your scores only. Please allow at least 2 weeks for them to arrive. You may also email for them. Absolutely no information will be given as to whom or how many are in the divisions. Modeling will be basic �T� formation with 3 �X�s� in front of judges. Hair and make-up must be age appropriate, NO GLITZ. No food or drink in the dressing room. Bad sportsmanship or disrespect to the Judges, Pageant or Festival Coordinators will not be tolerated. You will be disqualified and asked to leave without benefit of refund. 2006 Royalty may compete if they change age groups. No age grace period; compete age you are on day of pageant.

Christmas Under the Oaks Titles are not contracted, however, Queens must be available for all functions and appearances scheduled during the Festival held on the first weekend in December, be properly dressed, groomed and behaved at all times.
No smoking or alcohol consumption during appearances and reign.

Sulphur High School 100 Sycamore Sulphur, LA 70663
1. From I-10 West, take Exit 20 north to Ruth St.
2. Follow Ruth St to the 3rd red light. There will be a Capital One Bank on the right.
3. Continue on the same street; it will curve slightly to the left and will turn into Huntington St.

4. The next red light will be Cypress St; the Brimstone Museum will be on the right.
5. Turn right on the very next street after Cypress; this will be Ash St, but there is no street sign.
6. About half a block down, there will be two stop signs; go to the left one.
7. Zigzag slightly to the left thru the stop sign and stay on Ash.
8. At the next stop sign, turn left in from of Sulphur High. This is Sycamore St.
9. The street will curve to the right; follow the curve and turn right into the teacher�s parking lot to park.
10. The doors to the pageant are just past the iron gates where the school meets in a corner of the parking lot.

Sibling discount: $10 off for each sibling entering after the first contestant: 1st child: $50 and siblings thereafter: $40 each. ($65/ $55 if entering on 11/09/07 or at the door)

Author: audience member [ Edit \| View ]	Date Posted: 13:52:30 10/15/07 Mon LA Honeybee Festival donates a portion of its proceeds to a great cause, but they should promote the pageant as a "Glitz" one, and not a festival one. I attended yesterday, and all the little division winners had the big hair, wigs, tons of make-up and glitzy/super short pageant dresses. One of the winners (3 year old, I think) had on knee-hi's, a VERY short dress, and really big hair. Her mom dressed her like one of those "naughty" little bo peep costumes that you see in some costumes shops. I was appauled!!! NONE of the girls that wore sunday best won queen or first-runner-up. All of the photogenic winner's pictures looked like they were 20 years old, and best hair in the young divisions went to the girls wearing wigs or HUGE, hairprayed updos???? I felt sorry for the "normal" looking little girls who were beaten by the Glitzy girls who most people in the audience felt should not have won. Many of the audience members were not fans of all the hair and make-up on young children. We need to keep our young ones looking sweet and innocent! The older girls (Jr and Up)are the only ones that don't look like circus clowns! Why is that? Just a heads up for future pageant contestants or moms wanting to enter their young ones!!!
