I am the original poster of this thread. I am very familiar with the situation. VERY. I hate to see someone (who I do not know) getting trashed because of ASSumptions. Beverly was the director of IL Intl for a few years. Her forced departure from the system has been a long time coming. As someone who is part of the effort to get the state international system on track, I can tell you Lovena has been kind enough to suggest ladies enter Illinois International. My take-away from this is that the current "director" is out and that a new one is on her way in. I, like you, would like to see good things from this once great state pageant. We all know how extraordinary the National system is. While no director is 'perfect' it would be nice to see one that does not focus on her own drama and focuses on contestants and titleholders. For years, the contestants and titleholders of Illinois International had been forced to look past the incompetence of the director/staff so that they can participate in this system. Sometimes, you have to do that in order to achieve a goal or create your own dream. Let's give Randi and her staff a chance. If you want to compete in this system or any other system, for that matter, then do not let any rumor or anonymous rhetoric you see on this voy board deter you from your dream. Can we just stop this nonsense? This is the part of pageantry that gives it a bad name!! Why can’t we lift people up and support everyone? Beverly did some great things and I’m sure Randi will do some great things as well, she’s off to a great start!! If any of you know Beverly or Randi you would know they do not waste time on these sick boards!! ENOUGH now, let it go and move on!!
