AS set the tone for the direction of the organization, picked the judges, and was still very much involved with decision-making all week at the pageant, even though she was distracted by the other goings on (MAO, WGN). Ever since Art McMaster (her safety net) left, her strategy has been to say she was leaving just in case MAO decided to finally act & get rid of her. That way, she could always say, "I quit you first." It has been a transparent strategy and has played out exactly like that in this forum. Up until recently, she was continuing to pay Crystal's expenses, as noted in a previous thread on this board. But ultimately, again, AS is only a small part of this conversation, so no need to get one's pants in a bunch. -- ILLINOIS Pageants Board

The contracts are one thing, but to say she hasn't been involved at all is another. In fact, Crystal thanked AS and GS on her FB for helping her financially (a post that has since been removed). So, I'm not sure what the motivation is for denying it now, but it's seriously immaterial. No one's listening to or believing a thing AS says anyway. And no one really cares. Seriously. No one cares.
