A big part of the problem in this organization is that, like you, some people forget the money belongs to the program for the benefit of the girls who participate in it. IF Ashley's group receives a dollar, it will not be "hers," but rather it will go to support a scholarship program for young women; you might have heard of it. However, it is absolutely true that everything the program has now-the innumerable burned bridges and the fences that have had to be mended, among other things-is a result of the "hard work" of certain other people who apparently forgot that the program was about the contestants, or that the contestants even mattered at all. -- ILLINOIS Pageants Board
