Subject: It's frustrating to see a pageant falter, but the ladies of Illinois are used to this scenario. Sometimes pageants are successful and in capable hands, and sometimes they fall into the hands of people who do not have the time needed to dedicate to it.

It may go beyond that too, and directors find themselves in over their heads with details, finding contestants, sponsors and an audience. Just because you like pageantry does not mean that you are qualified to produce a pageant. Greed and ego can take over and be the reason for lack of success, and so can trusting the wrong people to help you. Contestants that just want the title don't care about these things but more mature contestants do. Support is very important for a queen because they cannot do it all on their own, even when they think they can. I hope that Illinois pageantry will move forward in the right direction and become a positive and supportive activity stocked full of great mentors and role models for the ladies. This thread shows that you all do care and demand better of directors and staff in Illinois pageantry. Time to wake up and listen to someone other than yourselves and maybe that means walking away from your role and letting a more qualified person take over.

Illinois International is a train wreck! It's proven by their low numbers and lack of quality in all aspects. They choose their judges very "carefully" and skillfully I might add. Anyone that enters this pageant is blind. Horrible track record! (NT)No name14:35:24 03/05/16 Sat

To future contestants. Instead of wasting money on this pageant, donate it to a great charity not Bev's bank account. No name14:42:10 03/05/16 Sat
