What a sad turnout for this pageant. Nothing like it used to be. There was no rhyme or reason to the way things were done. It was like hurry up and get the teen done and move along to the Miss. In all my years of being around pageants, I have NEVER seen anything like this before. They made a hue mistake taking away pre-teen and even the little one.

One of the reasons cited for Amalia's group losing their MAO license was the running of unsanctioned pre-teen pageants. They are not allowed, so that's why Southern Illinois didn't have one. And I think they'd be better off abolishing the teen and sticking with the Miss, but I also suspect that Genie has left the bottle and won't be going away anytime soon. Scheduling a pageant for Super Bowl Sunday was probably not wise, either. (NT)No name11:18:16 02/08/16 Mon

Not everyone that got kicked to the curb was a bad volunteer and worker. A lot of valuable people went down because of Amalia., and no, they weren't board members. It was sad to say the least. Most will never be back . Lots of good, hard working people were lost. (NT)No name15:27:31 02/08/16 Mon

If you cannot promote and put on a quality pageant with your retiring titleholder being Miss Illinois and your new director being a former Miss Illinois living in the immediate area something is not right. MAO waited too long. (NT)No name15:37:48 02/08/16 Mon

Dear God why not take some responsibility for yourselves. You're going to blame your child's bad grades on her pretty soon. (NT)No name09:05:15 02/09/16 Tue
