The point was that this person, and apparently others, launch ad hominem attacks against people instead of actually defending anything. An ad hominem attack is defined as "Attacking the person making the argument, rather than the argument itself." It's usually made out of desperation when one can't find a decent counter argument, which I have yet (but would be very interested) to read. Now, I can't speak for all of them, but I would assume that the people who have commented weren't responsible for Crystal's choices, so their education, style, etc is really irrelevant.
