NOTICE THE SIGNIFICANT DROP IN POWER 72+. There is no changin facts, and fact 1 is and always will be 370 thru the driveline/diff/gears will equal 240 to the wheels! Even if Ed Sanow is right about his stats and the 78 460 is rated at 202 to the wheels.. then that is only 40 horse less.. and If I did a couple of mods to your car(to add 40 horse) YOU WOULDN'T NOTICE IT!!! WHAT-SO-EVER YES the 429 can rev higher, BUT the 460 has torque to match! I'm not on here to be kickin STUPID dead horses! I own a 78 460 PI with the stats that I had mentioned, and I told you the 1/4 mile time i ran (1 pass = 15.4) Yet you MORONS seem to think that is setting new records.. when in fact the Honda civics (stock) are runnin 16's! All im gonna say is.. I want each and everyone of you, to pick up a phone and call any (performance store) in your area, and tell them you have a 429PI rated at 370.. NO 400 horse to the flywheel, and your curious as to what the Net or REAR wheel horsepower is to the car! His first response will be ( what gears are you running? And youll answer 3-1, the he'll tell you that your losing at least 140+ (AT LEAST) to the wheels! SHIT, my buddy just got his 89 Camaro done up (350 lt-1) and it was pushin 560 horse at the flywheel.. and with 3.43 gears he was gettin 365 horse to the wheels! FOR THOSE WHO CANT DO MATH, thats almost 200 horse LOST thru the driveline on 3.43 gears! LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL Yet this Moron thinks that his 429 PI is pushin 370 horse to the wheels!
