She was sweetheart for 2024 and even though she won sweetheart again she couldn’t represent it and couldn’t be crowned a second time. When the results came what other option is a good one? Crown no one? She showed such grace and was able to crown her successor which I believe she asked to be able to do before competition even happened. Do you have a better solution? They give her a moment at their state title holder's send off for MVA to announce who she is and give her the sweetheart volunteer sash. It's a lot better because the pageant is focused on Volunteer, but the Sweetheart still gets a moment later. A lot of 1RUs in other states say no, so it would be pointless to crown them on stage if they don't go to Sweetheart anyway.
