It's what drives this pageant system. Make sure you are well versed with all things St. Jude and also the Salvation Army. Both are national partnerships for the pageant system. Being in Texas, you might want to reach out to the state director there. As far as talent goes, you mentioned that you play the violin. Are classically trained, if so do not worry about the entertainment value, and focus on a strong piece to play. Like the above poster mentioned, 2 of the national Miss winners have been brunette and the current winner is brunette. Hair color is not a factor, and with your Indian heritage, blonde would not look natural or good for you. The volunteer system is inclusive, and ethnicity is not a game that they favor or dis favor. It comes down to how you present yourself while competing as a TOTAL package. As far as the gown aspect, remember you are in a pageant, and traditional wear might come across as costume and not red carpet worthy. Study the rules and guidelines that are posted on the national website and take it from there. Good Luck in your pageant career. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
