I agree with you, MATTHEW:
I think "the experts" found the only "WILLIE MAE TAYLOR" listed in the 1940 LA Census who happened to be 7 years old. BINGO!
This must be her! I posted my reply so that others might
see the same thing we did.
Further, if one checks out the 1940 Census for the above "WILLIE MAE", they will see that it says "in 1935, she was living in Louisiana." It is possible, but not likely, that she came to LA in 1932-34, acted in 3 films, went back to
Louisiana and returned to LA in 1935 and remained until she died in 1987. Other records indicate that she married the same man (CLAUDELL WASHINGTON) 3 TIMES and divorced him TWICE!

I found a similar situation with "HARRY LOWE Jr." He looked way too young for the birth year "the experts" give for him.
I proved that the boy listed by "the experts" was in China with his Dad when the movie was filmed: hard to be in 2 places at once! (LOL).
I'm 90% convinced that he was another "HARRY LOWE Jr"---
"HARRY SHAW LOWE Jr." (1929-1992) who became a well-known Broadway actor who appeared with ANNA MAY WONG in "Flower Drum Song". (And JACK SOO----remember him?).
I'm held back from submitting him to ANM as I'd like to find
something that links him to ROACH and Our Gang. With all the publicity for "HARRY's" popular 1934 film "Sequoia", they always mention "HARRY LOWE Jr.", never a middle name or even the initial "S". The same with "Washee Ironee" with Our Gang, 1934.
