ANNA L. SOUTHARD LOWRY was SCOOTER's Mom.
ANNA L. SOUTHARD LOWRY was born in MD between 1888-1889 (used the surname of her step-Father): lived most of her life on Long Island, NY.
ANNA L. SOUTHARD's parents were divorced before she was 7 years old when her Mom married the step-Father, ARTHUR SOUTHARD.
ANNA L. LOWRY's ex-husband, SCOOTER's Dad, died in 1941.
ANNA LOWRY's Social Security Death record (SSDI) shows she died in Miami, Dade FL , 07 Dec. 1972: b.03 Jul 1888: SSN: 116-07-1835.
ANNA LOWRY's Social Security Death record (SSDI) shows her SSCard was issued in NY before 1951.
ANNA LOWRY's Daughter (LILLA) left Long Island, NY and lived in Lakeland, FL sometime between 1950-1983.
1972 DEATH CERTIFICATE of ANNA LOWRY : died Miami Beach, FL, 07 Dec. 1972.

SCOOTER may very well have not known his Mother's maiden name as he would have only known her as a "SOUTHARD" (his step-Grandfather). He may not have even known his Father's first name since he was 5 or 6 years old when his Father was "out of his life". Who knows what the Mom told the kids about their father. The Father's death notice doesn't mention surviving children or ex-wife.The addresses on Collins Ave, and Park Ave. are about 1/2 mile apart.
NOTE: What are the chances that 1972 ANNA LOWRY is ELMER "SCOOTER" LOWRY's Mom?? What are the chances that a person named "ELMER LOWRY"............would have that info about SCOOTER's Mom, ANNA LOWRY, in light of the fact her only living child was named ELMER LOWRY and all other close relatives were dead. What are the chances that a person named ELMER LOWRY was the informant for the Death Certificate for a woman named ANNA LOWRY who resided a half mile away from him???

NOTE: the Meridian Ave. address is about 2 miles from the Park Ave. address. It appears that the police were called to the Meridian address apt/condo and...........found the body with only a Driver's License or State ID to go on, thus the 19 Dec. 1919 exact birth date and nothing else. SCOOTER's only close relatives ...........were a niece and nephew in NY and neither with the surname LOWERY or LOWRY. "Body Found" appears on the DC as "Date of Death".
