In reply to: crazy craig 's message, ""Mandarin Mix-Up" and Julie Leonard" on Tue, April 02 2019, 4:03:38

Okay I can see what the problem here is:

"A" Mandarin Mix-Up is how the film is printed on the lobby cards. As I do not have a copy of the original title card as was originally seen in the film's credits, I think I went with "A" because it was on an official released card. But most issues of the film omits the prefix, and so I have altered that on the page now.

As for Julie Leonard, I can see what you guys are seeing, but Rob Stone's book lists her as a cast member and this woman is the only female in the entire film, with the exception of the maid in the opening scenes (who by the way shows us some nice cleavage in one shot when she bends down!)

For the sake of argument, I am inclined to stick with Leonard as the role of "Lili" and accept what Jesse said about the good make-up job. If you look at the film you can see other male actors whose eyes have been made-up to look Chinese and they look equally convincing.

I shall speak to Rob later about this and see what he thinks....
