Although Talla is unaware of True's failing enemity towards her, she can feel something slightly off in the girl's conversation. For a moment, the goldrider frowns, trying to catch the slight feeling of wrongness; then it slips away, and she shrugs and smiles again, dismissing it from her mind. It can't be anything important, or she'll certainly notice it again. She flashes Tr'ln a grin when he compliments her firelizards, and then True's brown catches her eye, and curiousity keeps her attention on the girl. "Her first flight? You might want to concentrate on blocking her out near the end," Talla says, a smile accompanying this bit of friendly advice. "It's probably not as strong as a gold flight, but I still can't imagine that you'd want to listen in on the end of a green flight while you're around a lot of people. Especially with a green dragon already flying today, because even when you don't think it's affecting you, dragon flights generally do." In Talla's experience, green dragons usually aren't so overpowering that they'll make anyone do something they don't already want to do, but combine it with a firelizard flight and True seems like the type of girl that might be embarassed by anything that filters through.

Chapter makes a soft, pleased humming sound when Tr'ln pets him, then huffs softly and rolls onto his side when the brownrider pulls his hand away to recieve Agust. Talla watches the little green land and laughs. Tr'ln's question draws a bit more of her attention, and the young woman immediately smiles fondly at the mention of her beloved dragon. "Mylanith is a little worried about the gold hatchling, just like always. Silly creature, she knows she's senior to them, but since everyone makes such a fuss over Hatchings, it bothers her. She'll be straightened out in a sevenday or so," Talla says cheerfully. "I've been told she'll probably loosen up once she's flown, and that should happen before the Turn is out. Lately she's just been showing off a lot and sunning herself - I have to threaten that she'll get fat to keep her from being too lazy. What about Latroth?" She tries to keep part of her attention on True, enough to make sure that the girl knows she's welcome in the conversation, though it's hard when it jumps around so much. Well, if she looks too left out, I can always change the subject, Talla reminds herself. Right now it's just common courtesy to return Tr'ln's interest in her dragon. And to be honest, she is interested in how Latroth and his rider are doing, because she counts Tr'ln among her few real friends.
