His smile was now gone, and he looked very uncomfortable. Trag was not something he’d planned to talk about, especially after the near decade he’d been haunted, wishing he’d stayed with Tsuga and raised Trag instead f leaving them like a coward and a criminal. He didn’t know how Talla would react to him if she knew the truth, but lying to a goldrider wouldn’t do any help. However, she never asked him about it, so he didn’t exactly have to answer. “Thanks.” he mumbled quietly, still thinking about the time the threesome, parents and child, had been reunited at the feast. Trag was just like his mother.
Shards, why didn’t I raise the kid? It haunted him all the time. However, hopefully Talla could realize he was uncomfortable and change the subject. It seemed Tr’ln couldn’t think of anything else now that she’d mentioned the boy that had haunted his dreams.
