I remember hearing more than once that "you should know better or I thought you knew better" as my pants were being pulled down. That of course added another element of shame to the spanking I was about to get. I kind of gloated and was glad when one of the sibs got it and as I grew older I knew that getting it meant we all had to do better and learn from the spanking that was just given. Sometimes in private we would talk about our spankings and how we should change so we all would benefit from the most recent spanking.

Do kids from larger families get harder spankings. As a mom I don't think so as I try to be consistent in the way I spank. I don't have an honest answer to that question I know in the neighborhood when we kids talked about spankings that issue never really came up but we seemed pretty much to agree that the sting seemed to last about the same time no matter who got it.

When we were younger we never asked dumb questions and as we got older we were sometimes heard to say something like I'll bet that stings. But not often. We did comfort each other after one of us had suffered the hairbrush though.
