Akron Canton had become the best local EDs. They were supportive and fair to all the girls. I wish we had 20 locals like that! They left because of 2 problems for sure 1. Lora winning MO under so much scrutiny + covid took a toll on everything and they couldn’t get even 4 girls for it to stay a closed competition which is what they’d always done. 2. Now that MA has decided to allow virtual sweeps with no requirement to have done even one local it hurts all the other local programs. Why do one if you think you’ll get one of the sweeps titles? As more locals drop there will be more sweeps titles available. The Lora thing was unknown to any prospective contestants. Betta is amazing and meeting everyone and anyone to drum up Participation. I heard the reason they decided to hold their pageant last year was because they already had paid the deposit on the venue & had scholarship money.
