Subject: “Scores this year are changing to 25% across the board.” That’s bad news for girls with a strong interview & weak fitness. With interview being worth 10% less, if given 10’s across the board, the possible interview points drop from 105 to 75, a HUGE 30pt loss in their best competition. Fitness will be worth more, from 60pts to 75pts. Same for gown, which hurts girls who aren’t fit. You say “MOT isn’t all about talent anyway,” so interesting they would INCREASE its worth, from 60 to 75pts. TL;DR 25% scoring across the board favors strong stage competitors. It’s good for talented, fit girls who aren’t as accomplished or mature as others in interview. The score change hurts girls who excel in interview and count on that score to make up for weaker stage competitions.
