We already look bad at Miss America, could you imagine if she won? For someone to come out the other side, recognize the struggles and develop coping mechanisms creates a very strong and self aware individual. Unfortunately, not everyone can have a life devoid of such struggles but it seems as though she has done an impeccable job picking herself up, creating awareness and creating a platform for others to speak about these issues as well. So yes, people would like to see someone like her, if not her, in the position of Miss Ohio and even on the stage at Miss America.
