Thanks Mike and Stuart. Now for some help on what I plan...

I'll be going with the LC575 and swapping out the cpu for a 68040 w/math co-processor. Will I need to add a heat sink? I'm quiet knowledgable in reconstruction of plastics and have taken apart my share of SE-SE/30 macs. Have good basic understanding of electronics. Just need to know what works and what don't before engaging project.
I would like to swap out the floppie for a cd/rw. Comments and product help here would be good. I'll do the modification to the video board for 640x480 as this seems to be the best way to go. Has anyone tried upping the voltage to the video board as "not recomended" on a site I came across after he modified the board using the method that puts a strain on it? He did this to eliminate the black border and gain even more screen.

What do I need to do to connect my cable modem to the mystic (hardware and software) after completing? I'll probably use 7.1 with some enhancements taken from 7.5 and other scorces for the OS. I've never experenced any of the newer OS systems so hopefully what I don't know will not hurt me. I've read the newer systems are a drag on the 040 machines. Would like to keep everything small enough so that I could keep as much as possible on a ram disk or something similar to keep things even faster(68k planned).

Also what would be best choice for a fast HD with about 1 to 2 megs?

This has been long but thought I'd get it all out of the way now (amap). Thanks for all the input guys!

Connor
