The switch from 68LC040 to 68040 works fine on a Mystic, though I have to admit I'm not too sure how much s/w makes use of the FPU.

Going to 40MHz should give some improvement, but IMHO not enough to justify paying MicroMac to do it! See the CC upgade FAQ for appropriate links. Given that 575 boards are now $19.99 on eBay, and clocking would cost less than that, it's an economical DIY project.

My latest Mystic (40MHz, 64Mb RAM) should arrive on Monday. Project 1 is to try some real-world browsing!
