 Living here in the North Woods, I can hear the animals of the forest from home. I do hear a wolf howl but it is from across the lake, never that close. In warm weather, I like to sit on the back porch in the dark and listen. Sometimes I fall asleep out there. Frogs, loons, coyotes and of course, crickets are so relaxing. Did you know you can calculate the temperature by timing a cricket's chirp?
