Ah yes, OTK spankings were the norm in my large family so I was taken over to be spanked and witnessed many Over-The-Knee spankings.

Bending over, pulled over, laid across, adults' laps/thighs to be spanked bare bottom always brought tears to my eyes.
The FINAL awful step before the sting, it felt hopeless/scary turning over a lap with my bare bottom sticking up in the air - ready to be spanked!
Especially as a teen the awkward OTK position felt so childish! Whether bent over, hands/feet on the floor, or worse - draped with legs dangling, my naked buns were the center of attention.

It DID matter what my spanker was wearing as i when mom/dad were wearing jeans rubbing my front on the thick fabric was uncomfortable - once at 14 mom was wearing a new pair of jeans and the front of my bare thighs were all red after my squirming/bouncing.
Getting spanked across bare legs was uncommon but a few times I or others got spanked at pool parties/lake swimming etc when the adult was in shorts. Once at 12 mom was wearing her bikini when she spanked me out of the pool. We were both wet and I was slippling/sliding my bare pelvis all over her bare thighs (her palm really STUNG on my wet behind!)

Another time I was 13 and Dad was wearing overalls that had pokects in front with big ridged seams. OMG I could feel the sharp edges cutting into my sensitive skin in front.

Worse was for bad spankings, pinned over one leg, with mom hooking her leg around my ankle so I could only kick with one leg. Not only did that mean a wicked wooden spoon spanking but being sprawled over only one of her thighs felt yucky and I knew from watching my sister/cousins spankings how much I was showing while I waved my one-leg wildly.
Those crazy-kicking spankings often meant being "re-adjusted" a couple times - like being taken over the lap AGAIN with bottom burning and begging "no more NO MORE!"

I always wondered what it would be like to be spanked in another position besides OTK but over/across lap/knees were the only way we got spanked.
