An account from the 1960s has appeared on multiple voy forums over the years. 5 kids: 6 year old boy, 8 year old boy, 9 year old boy, 11 year old boy, and 12-13 year old girl who are all cousins, I believe the 8 year old and 11 year old are brothers and the 6+9+12-13 year olds are siblings. The reason I describe the girl as 12-13 is because some accounts have described her as 12 and others have described her as having just turned 13.

The kids have disobeyed multiple direct orders to behave in a Sears at a shopping mall and the oldest tween kids keep influencing bad behavior of the younger ones. Eventually the mother/aunt snaps and sentences the lot to a bare bottom spanking right there in the store in front of anyone who happens to be present. As a specific punishment for the oldest two for being a bad influence to the younger kids, she announces that the children will be spanked from youngest to oldest. The function of this as part of the punishment quickly becomes clear as the first spanking begins: maximum deliberately enforced embarrassment.

She gives each of the kids a prolonged, very hard spanking by hand which draws attention from others in the store. A crowd begins to form as the 6 year old bursts into tears. The 8 year old is next to get his pants and underwear pulled down and the crowd grows to double digits while he takes his spanking. By the time the 9 year old bursts into tears the crowd has grown to over 20 people and the mother’s plan has worked to perfection. The cherry-red faced 11 year old silently pleas for mercy, and modesty, but he is granted neither and is ordered to take down his pants and underwear in front of all the onlookers before being hand-spanked over the knee to the point of tears. By the time this spanking has concluded the crowd has grown to over 30 people and the crimson faded tween girl is ordered to take down her pants and panties. She protests that she is too old for such punishment but her pleas fall on deaf ears and the woman enforces the public humiliation. Her hand spanking lasts the longest and the girl’s crying and kicking ends up being the most pathetic of the entire group of kids, despite being the oldest, on top of being the only one to verbally beg for mercy.

To this day I am disturbed yet enthralled by the cleverness of this punishment. An expert example of using a measured amount of embarrassment to guarantee maximum effectiveness.
