It's tough to think of the university stepping up again after shelling out a decent amount of dough over the past few years in support of football and athletics in general. That said, our field in particular is abysmal and there's no doubt that our overall football facilities are a detriment to recruiting v. other PL schools.

Does anyone know whatever happened to the plan discussed so many years ago of having the baseball field moved onto one of the parking lots, finally creating a "stadium" for football and putting up a parking garage in the remaining space?

Finally, upgrading to "field turf" is nothing special as other PL schools are doing the same (although it should help our game out a bit since we rely more on speed than most PL schools). Check out some of the other voy message boards for PL schools and it's interesting to see their commentary on their facilities as well as their recruiting classes (hope springs eternal ... everywhere).
