I would like to wish all in the Fordham Family a happy and holy Christmas. Being in the tavern business, I am lucky to greet and lift a glass with many a Fordham man and yes woman, as part of my profession. Invariably its a pleasureable occasion. Just last night, I spent time with Jack Martin, a former Regis varsity and Fordham freshman basketball player under Frank McLaughlin and the great John Cirillo. Jack now produces ESPN radio sports and John after a long period running the Garden's PR is running is own representation shop. Then Kathleen Ford who is now a FTC lawyer down in DC, dropped by. And in recent days, we were honored to have the Farrels, Porcos, Jordans, Cafferellos etc, etc. They are all great parts of our family. And recently I was fortunate to host for lunch Father O'Hare who is now heading up his alma mater Regis for a year, the singular Jack Prael, who after a long fruitful banking career is helping with alumni affairs at Regis and the beautiful Anne Hilbert who after graduating from Fordham has worked in television most notably producing the Charles Grodin show. Anne is from a large and vital Fordham family. Her father after playing yes football at Regis graduated from Fordham and the law school. Her three brothers all went to the prep, two attended the college, Larry now head pro at Piping Rock was a European circuit tennis player and at one point #5 in the world in squash. Ironically, her only brother not to go to the College joined the Jesuits after Colgate and is now a Canon lawyer and Dean of the Gregorian. Merry Christmas!

Re: Happy and Holy Christmas! Great message and I suspect the tavern is THE OLDE TOWNE on 19th St. between B'dway and (Lex?). GM, it appears, has adopted a new board identity, but in any case thanks for the information. (NT)ramvet15:35:00 12/22/04 Wed
