Subject: Universities can have winning national athletic programs without selling out. Don't paint everything with such a broad brush. It's all how it's handled, and we'll do it right.

In reply to: gorams 's message, "That's a whole other arguement. I don't consider the Notre Dames/BC's selling out. I wish Fordham would do the same. Its not selling out, its competing. However, this argument was about how Notre Dame (eventhough they've sold out) still isn't competing w/ the top programs. They still suck!" on 12:13:41 12/08/04 Wed

First, in athletics we never do anything right. Please refer to next few schedules in football. Second, I strongly believe and the national media seems to concur thi week, that it isn't possible to win without opening the doors for athletes. Look at ND and Staford, coaches fired. N'western, marginal. Duke, Rice? Please. Michigan? Where are the great teams with academic credentials? (NT)An Old Coach20:36:40 12/08/04 Wed
