Didn't see game, but guessing we made costly mistakes (e.g., turnovers, penalties) that cost us dearly -- again. We were competetive in every game this year which is nice, but by the final game of the year discipline and team chemistry should have improved and led us to wins in at least 1 of the last 2 two games. The fact that we were unable to win any close games in '04 is a reflection of coaching (preparation and sideline) pure and simple. Also, Lehigh, Colgate and Lafayette don't seem to have any trouble reloading year after year, yet we drop to 5-6. Also, they're perfectly happy with this level of competion. Yet after 3 good seasons, our alumni are talking about jumping to D1?!? Gimme a break. We've got a long way to go before we're in the class of those aforementioned schools and we will never belong in D1. I expect wins in the Patriot League and an ocassional trip to the 1-AA Playoffs, as we all should. Foley's got a lot of work to do for next season and has a lot to prove.

Hey Venter: Check your facts on Lafayette, they hadn't beaten Fordham in 4 straight years and have been towards the bottom of the league until this year. (NT)gorams12:38:44 11/22/04 Mon

Own us in head to head competition? Maybe they ran a sting of victories on us when we originally jumped back into 1AA. The new fordham football has owned Lafayette. 4 straight wins during Clawson's era and I don't doubt Foley will continue our dominance. (NT)gorams11:51:03 11/23/04 Tue

The point is Lafayette doesn't constantly restock their talent. We beat them 4 straight years, and yes they were a league doormat. (NT)gorams13:53:43 11/23/04 Tue

Well Fordham is also number 17 or whatever on all time wins, does that mean we're a top caliber program? A lot happens in the past that doesn't relate to the current situation. We had a down year this year, which isn't that bad considering we were 5-6 and consider it a very disappointing year. We need to build on our expectations of winning.
