Joe, I agree with much of what you say except the part about alumni "donation penetration" being pathetic. We raised half a million dollars in the year ended June 30, 2004. The University spent as much as Lehigh and Colgate and perhaps 50% more than either Holy Cross or Georgetown. Facilites are old but this off season a new turf will be installed on Coffey and lights at no insignificant cost. Fordham outspent Georgetown 3 to 1 in FY 2004. The other PL schools outspend Georgetown at least 2 to 1. I don't think people realize how much of a competitive disadvantage that is placing Georgetown on a week to week basis.** (NT) DFW HOYA 13:27:35 11/21/04 Sun

Of course we realize that, we lived through it here, remember? G'town is following in our footsteps by underfunding the program and hoping to win on the cheap.
