In reply to: Evaluator 's message, "Davia is a girl that is very hard to predict how well she will do. I was never a big fan of hers from when she was crown. I thought for sure we had sent another girl who is a clapper. Seeing her candid pictures left me confused. One minute she looked not so good and sometimes she looked really improved and quite nice. I got really disappointed after seeing her pictures with her skin looking bad then I got really excited when I saw some pictures later with her skin looking much better. I think with the right make-up she can easily hide any flaws. I do think she has a nice body compared to some of the girls. She seems to be one of the most photographed girls. I went back and fort with Davia but I will settle with she do have a chance to do well in this competition. I think she has improved and do look better as the days go by. I may not be her biggest fan but I wish her the best and hope she succeeds because I have not been so confused and unsure about a girl we sent in a long time." on Saturday, October 16, 10:20:13pm

Davia's pics are just plain confusing. She is totally inconsistent. Either way-whether she places or does not, I will not feel any level of surpise at all. For me, I think her shoulders are just too narrow and I think for MW we need to see some flesh on the bone. I agree 100% that Davia's body is way more toned than Ms. St. Lucia but I think for the MW competition, St. Lucia could do better because we all know Ms. Morley likes more plump ladies and facially, St. Lucia is more visually beautiful. Davia has her momements but I really don't see why the heck she is at MW when the Abrahams lady bit%h-slapped everyone at the local leg of the competition in both SS and gown.

Did you by chance notice that PE apparently favored the 1st runner up at the local competition (well at least in my opinion he puts his fav in the most distinct gown he could find- that was the case for LaToya also). I have to say that for the first year ever, I disagreed with Peter's favs for both MUT&T and MWT&T.

Evaluator, to be quite honest, from my experience, whatever my feeling were about the young lady for the local competiton were-they generally pan out. I have never gotten a non-placement wrong and the only ladies that I thought should have made it that did not (based on the local leg of the competition) were Jenna Marie Andre, Heidi Rostant, Anya Ayoung Chee and Alexia Charlerie. Anya failed to advance because of stage performance, Jenna got screwed by the online voting and Heidi fell flat on her face in the prelim interview. I have no idea what happened to Alexia when she went to MU-in my opinion she should have made the cut.

That being said-this was my assement from the local leg of the pageant-after the casual clothes display only 2 ladies stood out- the Abrahams lady and the really tall lady who won the award that Calvin French gave out (I think it was Miss Photogenic). When the SS segment passed by everyon flopped with the exception of the Abrahams lady (she was a solid 8.8 in my mind)and yes, for literally 2-3 seconds another young lady did catch my eye but she was forgettable-I am thinking this was Davia. When the EG segment was over, only the Abrahams lady should have been the clear choice for MWT&T in my mind...but as we know they put a bunch of mediocre, old-in-the face scrawny ladies into the top 5 and I still don't know how the heck Whitney Husbands made it there-where these judges freakin' blind? From the top 5- absolutely no one stood out in a good way at all. They all looked like carbon copies. Only when Davia was crowned and I focused on her did I think she looked a bit like Wendy but for me, if I could not notice her among the top 5, then why the heck would I ever believe she would make the top 15 at MW.

That being said, Davia could as you say could pull a surprise placement- but I have not seen anything that indicates this will be the case as yet. Bahamas and St. Lucia are kicking her butt right now. If she could at least stand out in the region then I think she will have a chance.

I am really hoping that the T&TMW organizer gets together with the MU franchise holder and they hold a joint pageant. It just seems that the most competitive ladies always screen for MU and not MW. Apparently, no one realized that PE&A had a lock on MW just before they gave up the title. If Peter had held on to the MW franchise I beleive we would have had a MW winner within the next 5-7 years.

I wrote all that before, just to say- based on Davia's MT&T finals look after she was crowned (since I did not notice her before then), I thought she had an small chance of pulling a surprise placement - so yes Evaluator, I guess, putting everything aside except the MT&TW finals, then I would say Davia is one of the the black horses (along with about 15-20 other ladies) who could possibly slip into the top 15 of the MW final.,, but I still think the Abrahams lady would have fared better than Davia at both BB and the MW finals. This is the first time from looking at a MT&T finals that I came up with that assessment so I have to say that is why, to a large extent, I am not very excited about Davia's chances but I am keeping my fingers crossed.

[> [> Subject: Have to agree with you. Whether or not Davia places does not change the fact that this franchise holder needs to change the way he selects girls. It is like if he totally forgets that Miss World is a beauty pageant. Most of the girls at the local competition were very mediocre and none really stood out to be very strong with the exception of a couple of girls who seemed to have some potential. It is almost like if this franchise holder has taken the local competiton back rather than forward. It has turned into a contest for average looking girls who dont really stand a great chance to win internationally. I hope that this franchise holder learns to pick the right girls or give up the franchise next year. I wish Peter Elias could come back.
