Subject: Tonight's Episode, what the heck was is called?

I just watched tonight's ep, since I had to work tonight, so it's nice and fresh on my mind.

What did everyone think of it?

Before I get into any deep insights (as though I've ever had a deep insight) about the episode, let me make one observation. Mulder looked so hot tonight! Woo Hoo Woo Hoo! I don't know why he decided to go with "dress casual" for the first time I can ever remember, but boy am I glad he did. I could not take my eyes off him. Well, I usually can't, but this was even moreso than usual. I loved it. Loved it.

Now, onto the episode. We once again have Mulder making fun of religion. I guess Orison events didn't have as much affect on him as I had hoped they would. But you had to love Scully's UFO comeback to his assertion that standard religious beliefs are just as out there as the crazy reverend's snake handling. I have to say that I'm a little tired of religion X-files style. We've already touched on it twice now with Orison and now this Snake ep whatever it's called. I think that's enough for the entire season. At least I hope so. I'm ready for some aliens or something a little more Xfiley than The Amazing Maleeni.

You know, you'd think that by now I'd know to look to the person supposedly good as the bad guy, as it does seem to be XF protocol, but for some reason it caught me off guard. I'd have to say on a more alert day I'd probably have guessed that the crazy reverend would have ended up to be OK and the "normal" reverend would have ended up to be crazy.

Ok, here was my biggest problem with tonight's episode: the very end. What in the hell was that supposed to be? So is that guy a snake or is there a snake living in him or what? That was about the dumbest ending I've seen in quite awhile. I could have done without it. I accepted that the "nice" reverend ended up to be evil, or kooky, or whatever, and we didn't have to have it explained. I don't expect everything to be explained. But to throw in a snake coming out of his mouth was plain ridiculous. It didn't make any sense and it looked stupid. And that is my professional XPhile opinion.

Anyone else?
