I'm surprised to hear you liked Requiem and figured you'd hate the whole pregnancy angle. I loved the ep but can see Scully being pregnant as too much of a soap. But when you think about it, the cancer arc was rather soapy too and that had some great storytelling to it.

I agree about some of the eps this season. I didn't realize up to this point but before Reuqiem started I actually got excited about watching an XF ep. That hasn't happened in awhile. I really do love the mythology eps and love seeing Krycek and company at work. And it was great to have that return to the Pilot and the players in that as well. What's interesting is if they had known well in advance that there would be a Season 8 they probably wouldn't have done the return to the Pilot scenairo. I think it was thought of largely with the idea that this would be the last hurrah. So that's one good reason in favor all the long drawn out contract disputes going on!

Did you like last week's ep, Je Souhaite?

I agree buring up the syndicate was a mistake and it was too soon. At least I used to feel that way. The idea that Krycek and Marita will be continuing things could play out really well. I don't know about the CSM's demise. Who can be sure although the ep WAS called Requiem and I think that referred to him. If he is still alive I don't think we'll see him for awhile though and if he crops up again it will be a big deal!
Or maybe we'll get some CSM dream sequences or something similar to when Deep Throat reppeared.
I agree on getting all the old faves in the eps. I love Skinner and the Gunmen. With their own series I don 't know about their availability though. And I'm not crazy about the idea of adding a new partner for Scully! Just leave her be and let her work things out for herself with only Skinner and friends helping.

I'm voting for the CSM-En AMi theory as well! Please see my post on that elsewhere. As to why they don't shw an M&S relationship, as I said to Hairytoes, I don't think CC wanted to try and compete with people's years of expectations. I also think there's a possibiltiy they haven't done a darn thing. If the CSM implemented the pregnancy using Mulder as a donor then Mulder could end up being very surprised that he's a father. Although nothing surprises Mulder really! :-)

Well I do feel like some new life has been breathed into the show and with the prospect of DD being involved in scripts I have high hopes for S8!

I hope you can visit more BDM. Here's to Mulder floating somehwere on his own satellite of love! ;-)

det :-)
